Windows above a radiator

A rather interesting character I've come across time and time again over the years, expressed his distaste for Windows very early on in our encounter...

This chap simply summed Windows up with the following or something remarkably similar - "The only useful place for Windows is above a Radiator". To give credit where credit is due, I openly acknowledge the fact that I quote this regularly at technical seminars and training events, albeit tongue in cheek enough to know the real world does have a use for Microsoft Windows, as it's the business toolset of choice for better or for worse, but things are gradually changing.

The reason I'm rattling on...

I had the joy of using a Windows smart phone recently, remarkably similar in looks to my iPhone 4 - but without the 'intuitiveness' although comparable functionality. Finding the VPN settings screen was tricky the first time, setting the settings and finding the settings a second time, were equally as tricky. The iPhone was, well... Settings > General > Network > VPN and a very straight forward ON/OFF switch for GO and STOP.

Windows has progressed so far in nearly achieving an intuitive and working version of Windows, but Windows mobile, well it's not for me...

Okay, to be reasonable the iPhone 4 is not perfect... but at least it's incredibly intuitive and easy to use.
